WONTON NOODLE SOUP

Who doesn't like a good wonton or dumpling. Here I present one of the most popular noodle based dishes from Malaysia and all over Asia. A quick easy way to enjoy a hot bowl of soup noodles with some juicy dumplings and some sweet savoury tender pieces of char siew and oh some little bits of veggies too to make it a complete meal.

Perfect for a cold rainy day, a slightly hot day or a day where you are just feeling a little under the weather. This quick simple meal will sure to give you the extra boost that you need to get on and finish off your day. If you are not a fan of the soup noodles, give the dry version a try. SOUP SOUP SOUP

Ingredients 

1.

Egg Noodles

1ts White Pepper

3.

500ml Chicken Stock

4.

Choy Sum

5.

Wontons

6.

Char Siew

You can very easily get store bough dumplings and char siew sauce but if you wanna go all out you can try making your own CHAR SIEW and WONTONS.

Set a pot of water to a rapid boil and quickly blanch your prepared choy sum. Once cooked, quickly shock it in some cold or iced water and set aside.

3.

In a new pot of water boil your wontons for 5-8 minutes or till they float, when they are floating they are done. 

4.

Whilst your wontons are cooking boil up some chicken stock and season it with some white pepper and salt to taste. 

5.

Once your wontons are cooked drain and set aside in your lovely chicken soup.

6.

Boil and drain your egg noodles and plate them in your favourite soup bowl. 

7.

Thinly or thickly slice your char siew and let the plating process begin.

8.

Layer in your char siew, your wontons and your choy sum and lastly your yummy yummy soup.
