Sesame Seed Soba (SSS)

SSS Sesame Seed Soba. A quick and simple cold noodle dish that can be made in advanced and kept in the fridge for a quick and easy meal on busy days. Springy buckwheat noodles combined with the rich aroma of sesame seeds what could possibly be better than that?

Not to mention it only takes 10 minutes to cook if you are making it on the spot for a quick meal. It is definitely a recipe to have. Kids, adults, teenagers, everyone would love this recipe! Pssst the sesame seed sauce is also great with salads.

Sesame Seeds!

1.

Set your soba to a boil as the sauce will be done in a snap.

In a spice grinder or in a pastel and motar break down 1 table spoon of sesame seeds to as fine or as coarse as you wish. You could always leave it whole and skip this step too.

Ingredients

Soba

2tb Mayonnaise

3.

1/2tb Mirin

4.

1/2tb Light Soy Sauce

5.

1tb Sesame Seeds

1tb Sesame Seed Oil

1/2tb Sugar

In a bowl combine 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise, 1/2 tablespoon of sugar, 1/2 tablespoon of mirin, 1/2 tablespoon of light soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of sesame seed oil.

Give the sauce a good mix and now you just have to wait for your noodles.

Once the noodles are done drain and give them a quick rinse under some cold water.

Mix the sesame seed sauce along with the noodles and top with some extra sesame seeds and spring onion for decoration and you are DONE!
