SESAME SEED CHICKEN


Have you ever had sesame seed fried chicken? Well you should. It is a light crispy airy fried chicken infused with light sesame flavours, paired perfectly with a bowl of rice or just by it self. Time to introduce you to a whole new world of fried chicken.

A very easy gentle sauce that perfectly coats any piece of fried chicken. It is sweet, it is tangy, it is packed filled with a rich sesame aroma. There is nothing not to love about this.

Ingredients

  1. 400g of Chicken Thighs

  2. 6tb of Corn Flour

  3. Sesame Seeds

  4. 3tb of Vinegar

  5. 1 Bell Pepper

  6. 1 Onion

  7. 2tb of Tomato Ketchup

  8. 1.5tb of Light Soy Sauce

  9. 2tb of Sugar

  10. 2tb of Sesame Seed Oil


STEPS

  1. Chop your chicken into bite size pieces.

  2. Prepare a marinade of 3 tablespoons of vinegar, with a pinch of salt and pepper and mix with the cut chicken.

  3. Add in 6tb of corn flour with about 1/2 a tb of salt and give it a good mix around, making sure each chicken is evenly coated with flour. If the chicken pieces are still sticking together add in more corn flour till they no longer stick together.

  4. Prepare a pot with an inch of oil and heat it up on HIGH heat.

  5. Using a wooden chopstick poke into the pot of oil, once bubbles start to appear slowly lower pieces of your prepared chicken and cook for 5-8 minutes till golden brown and cooked through.

  6. Drain on paper towel.

  7. Cut up your onion and bell pepper into 1 inch pieces.

  8. In a pan on high heat add in a table spoon of oil and fry your onions and bell pepper till they are soft.

  9. Prepare a mixture of 2tb of tomato ketchup, 1.5tb of light soy sauce, 2tb of sugar and 2tb of sesame seed oil, along with 3tb of water. Mix well till the sugar is dissolved.

  10. Lower the heat to medium and add in the sauce.

  11. Mix well till a thick glossy sauce forms.

  12. Toss your chicken in your lovely sauce.

  13. Serve and top it off with some sesame seeds.

  14. Serve with a bowl of lovely freshly steamed rice.
