Ingredients
400g Chicken Thighs
1tb Corn Flour
1 Cup All Purpose Flour
1 Orange
1te Five Spice Powder
3tb Vinegar
1tb Honey
1/2tb Sugar
Oil for Frying
STEPS
Chop your chicken into bite size pieces.
Prepare a marinade of 1 tablespoon corn flour, 1 teaspoon of 5 spice powder, 3 tablespoons of vinegar, with a pinch of salt and pepper and mix with the cut chicken.
In a bowl, pour 1 cup of plain flour with a teaspoon of salt.
Heat up a pot of oil on high heat.
Coat the marinated chicken in the prepared flour and lay them into the pot of hot oil to fry till golden brown and crisp.
Remove and let drain. Repeat with all your little chickies.
In a bowl mix 1 table spoon of honey, 0.5 table spoons of sugar and 1 tea spoon of vinegar along with the juice and zest of 1 orange.
In a pan pour in the mixture, heat gently on medium low heat.
Once the sauce starts to bubble, gently slide in the fried chicken and coat evenly.
PLATE and SERVE with a slice of orange for Extra Fancy Points.
