What is Korea without Kimchi? It is a staple in many of their traditional dishes, it is so common to find it in all their meals as a side dish. It is usually made out of Napa cabbage, radish, some carrots and fused together with the red hot chili flake known as Gochugaru.
Here we learn the most basic kimchi, it is a great introduction to fermentation and a great dish to make for any meal. So get your jars out and clear out a shelf because your whole kitchen is going to smell like kimchi soon.
NESTUM PRAWN
Crunchy, sweet and savory all the flavors you could ever want. Adults will love the juicy tender prawn hidden inside the crunchy shell topped with lovely crispy buttery flakes of cereal that will bring out the inner kid within you.
For those who do not know what Nestum is, it is a nutritional multigrain cereal; a staple to Malaysian homes. It is also great for giving a lovely sweet yet savory crunch to prawns.
How To Do More With Cereal?
Ingredients

400g Prawns
2.
1 Egg
3.
2tb Flour (All Purpose)
4.
2tb Corn Flour
5.
2tb Butter
6.
Curry Leaves
7.
1/2 Cup Nestum
8.
1tb Milk Powder
9.
1/2te Sugar
10.
4 Cloves Garlic (Minced)
1.
In a bowl combine 2tb of plain flour and 2tb of corn flour (Corn flour makes it extra light and crunchy) along with 1te of salt.

Lightly dust your prawns in the flour mixture.
3.
Beat up 1 egg, drench your floured prawns into the egg mixture and back into the flour mixture (This creates a lovely thick breading that you just can't RESIST).

Heat up enough oil in a pot or pan to deep fry the prawns. Once the oil is hot slowly send your little prawns for an oil bath one by one and let them sizzle for 1-2 minutes till cooked and golden brown. Remove and place on a plate lined with kitchen towel to drain excess oil.

In a pan on medium low heat add in 2tb of butter and heat till melted.

Add in your chopped garlic and curry leaves, fry till fragrant.
7.
In a bowl combine 1/2 a cup of NESTUM and 1tb of milk powder.
8.
Throw the Nestum mixture into the butter along with your prawns and gently toss them to combine.
9.
Gently fry till the Nestum is GOLDEN brown and extra KRISPY be careful as it burns easily.
10.
Plate and serve immediately.
