Miso Garlic Pas

This is a fusion you would not possibly think possible. Japanese infused flavours into a bowl of Italian pasta. Now it may sound weird but you got to try it. It will change your world.

A simple quick pasta coated with umami savory rich miso sauce with hints of garlic. Topped with from seaweed and mushrooms it is a quick and delicious meal for any meal. Needing only 15 minutes to make it is a perfect side dish for any event.

1.

Set your pasta to a boil as the sauce will be done in a snap. 

2.

Mince up 4 cloves of garlic and slice your mushrooms. 

3.

In a pan add in some oil on low heat and gently fry your garlic till fragrant and set it aside.

In the same pan gently give your mushrooms a quick fry and set it aside. 

Ingredients

Pasta of Choice

1tb Miso Paste

3.

5tb Mayo

4.

Mushrooms

5.

Seaweed

4 Cloves Garlic

Add some of your dried seaweed (dried wakame) into a heat proof bowl and add some hot water over it and let it re-hydrate.

For the sauce combine 1tb of miso paste with 5tb of mayo and your fried garlic. Give it a good mix together. 

7.

Once the pasta is just shy of being fully cooked heat up a pan on medium high heat and add your pasta to the pan. Add in your miso sauce, mushrooms and drained seaweed. 

8.

Mix well till combined if your find the sauce a bit too thick add in either some pasta water or seaweed water. 

9.

Add salt to taste and you got yourself a lovely bowl of pasta.

CHALLENGE:
Can you prep the sauce and all its condiments before the pasta is cooked?
