What is Korea without Kimchi? It is a staple in many of their traditional dishes, it is so common to find it in all their meals as a side dish. It is usually made out of Napa cabbage, radish, some carrots and fused together with the red hot chili flake known as Gochugaru.
Here we learn the most basic kimchi, it is a great introduction to fermentation and a great dish to make for any meal. So get your jars out and clear out a shelf because your whole kitchen is going to smell like kimchi soon.
Creamy Mushroom Pasta
We all love mushrooms they have this certain distinct flavour that is just so addictive. Paired with a hint of cream it makes for one amazing sauce for any pasta dish. A quick simple delicious dish.
We are leveling up here with only 5 ingredients but it all depends on the mushrooms you are using. I used 3 types of mushrooms, you can use more or you can use less. It is a simple and quick recipe that you will enjoy.
Mushroomy Goodness
Ingredients

Pasta of Choice

Choice of Mushrooms

4 Cloves Garlic
4.
1/2 Cup Double Cream
5.
2tb Balsamic Vinegar

Slice up your mushrooms and mince your garlic.

Put your pasta to boil.
3.
In a pan of high heat WITHOUT OIL, fry your mushrooms in batches till they are cooked and if you can get a nice char on them as well. More char= More flavour.

Lower the heat down to a medium low add in a little bit of oil and give your garlic a quick fry.

Once the garlic is fragrant add back in your mushrooms and 1/2 a cup of double cream.

Add in 2tb of balsamic vinegar and season with salt and pepper to taste.

Add in your pasta and coat well, if it is too dry add in some pasta water. Season with salt and pepper and you got yourself a quick and easy pasta dish.
