What is Korea without Kimchi? It is a staple in many of their traditional dishes, it is so common to find it in all their meals as a side dish. It is usually made out of Napa cabbage, radish, some carrots and fused together with the red hot chili flake known as Gochugaru.

Here we learn the most basic kimchi, it is a great introduction to fermentation and a great dish to make for any meal. So get your jars out and clear out a shelf because your whole kitchen is going to smell like kimchi soon.
CARAMEL PANCAKE
Ah sweet, sweet, sweet caramel. The dark, golden, velvety syrup that coats your mouth with singing notes of rich, gently sweetness. Perfect with popcorn, pudding, ice cream and pancakes. Wait? Pancakes? Yes, Pancakes.
Are you craving a little somthing, a little something more sinful for your breakfast? Something that is sure to get your other half, kids, parents, siblings all running out of bed? Well this simple, quick, easy and fluffly caramel pancakes are sure to fill your kitchen with sweet, sinful notes of caramel. Paired with some fresh fruits and maybe a side of caramelised bacon, and you got yourself the perfect sunday brunch.

All you need are things you should already have in your pantry, the only thing special is some caramel syrup. Here I used Monin's caramel syrup; the perfect caramel latte syrup, but any other syrup of your choice will work wonderfully as well.

In a bowl mash mix together 1 cup of flour, 2ts of baking powder, 1tbs of sugar and 1ts of salt till well combined.

Make a well down the center and crack in an egg, 1tb of caramel syrup and pour in 1 cup of whole milk.
Ingredients

1 Cup Flour (All Purpose)

1 Cup Whole Milk

1 Egg

2ts Baking Powder
5.
1tb Sugar
6.
1ts Salt

3tb Brown Sugar
8.
3tb Unsalted Butter
9.
2tb Caramel Syrup
3.
Whisk together till just combined and homogeneous. DO NOT OVER MIX. If not you will have a very tough pancake.

In a separate bowl combine together 3tb of brown sugar, 3tb of softened unsalted butter and 1tb of caramel syrup and mix till well combined. Place it into a piping bag or into a zip lock bag and snip off a small corner.

Heat up a pan or a griddle to medium heat, add in a bit of oil and spoon in about a 1/4 cup of the mixture.

Once you see bubbles start to form with your piping bag begin to pipe in your caramel mixture pushing in slightly into the pancake to leave a swirl.

Once done flip and let it cook for another minute or 2.

Serve up a tall stack with your favorite toppings and enjoy a good breakfast early in the morning, ready to start your day RIGHT.
